Obesity & Weight Management
Obesity is a complex, chronic medical condition closely linked to diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, joint disorders, and reduced quality of life. At IMH, the Obesity & Weight Management Program is delivered through a Family Medicine–led, medically supervised approach, focusing on sustainable and safe weight reduction.
Unlike short-term diets or cosmetic weight loss solutions, this program addresses the underlying metabolic, behavioral, and lifestyle factors contributing to weight gain. Patients undergo a comprehensive evaluation, including BMI, body composition, metabolic profile, hormonal assessment, and lifestyle analysis.
Individualized care plans include nutritional counseling, physical activity guidance, behavioral modification, and medical therapy when indicated. Weight-loss medications are prescribed only under medical supervision, with close monitoring for safety and effectiveness.
Family Medicine physicians coordinate care with dietitians, physiotherapists, and specialists to ensure holistic management. The program emphasizes realistic goal setting, gradual weight loss, and long-term maintenance.
Regular follow-ups focus on progress monitoring, metabolic health improvement, and prevention of obesity-related complications. Patients are supported through education, motivation, and continuous care.
IMH’s program helps patients achieve meaningful, lasting weight loss while improving overall health and reducing future disease risk.
