Biography

Dr. Shaju is a highly experienced Psychiatrist in Dubai with nearly 20 years of practice, dedicated to the well-being of his patients. He completed his MBBS in 1997 from the Government Medical College of Calicut University, India, followed by an MD and DPM from Kerala University’s Government Medical College in 2004. In addition, he has specialized training in Aviation Medicine, a rare field that adds a unique dimension to his psychiatric expertise.

Dr. Shaju has extensive clinical experience in both India and the UAE, having worked in prominent institutions such as Louise Mount Hospital and Lourdes Hospital in Kerala, as well as NMC and Medeor Hospital in Dubai. He has managed a wide spectrum of psychiatric conditions, including psychotic and mood disorders, and has served as Unit Chief of Psychiatry, leading multidisciplinary teams and training junior doctors. His practice spans child and adult psychiatry, with proficiency in psychopharmacology, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and other therapeutic interventions for conditions such as depression, anxiety, OCD, autism, ADHD, personality disorders, and eating disorders.

Beyond his clinical work, Dr. Shaju is a dedicated academic with numerous publications, conference presentations, and media appearances. Known for his empathetic approach and patient-centered care, he tailors treatment plans to individual needs, combining conservative pharmacotherapy with psychotherapy to achieve optimal outcomes.
