Biography

Dr. Arun Shikaripur is a highly qualified Specialist Pediatrician with over 15 years of comprehensive experience in pediatric and neonatal care. He is trained in all aspects of child health, from routine wellness and preventive care to complex critical care cases.

He earned his MBBS from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, India (2001), followed by a Diploma in Child Health from Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences, Hubli, India, and a DNB in Pediatrics from the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi, India. He further enhanced his expertise in pediatric nutrition through certification and a postgraduate program from Boston University, USA, enabling him to provide holistic care that addresses both medical and nutritional needs of children.

Prior to practicing in the UAE, Dr. Arun gained extensive clinical and academic experience in India, serving as Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Senior Resident at P.E.S Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Kuppum. He successfully managed complex pediatric cases, including poisoning, partial hanging, drowning, pediatric HIV, meningitis, and hemiplegia. In Dubai, he has also served as Head of Pediatrics at a leading healthcare facility, overseeing a team of 10 pediatric professionals and guiding departmental operations from launch onward.

Dr. Arun is skilled in a wide range of pediatric procedures, including ventilator management, ICU care, lumbar puncture, liver biopsy, bone marrow aspiration, ascitic and pleural taps, and provides comprehensive management of common and critical pediatric conditions such as asthma, infections, and nutritional disorders. He is certified in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Pediatric & Neonatal Resuscitation (PNR), ensuring the highest standard of care in emergencies.
